Spot UV File Setup

The setup for cover finishing techniques is similar across the board. Each involves creating a separate layer for the special feature. This usually requires two files: one for printing and one for the feature. For example, we'll first print the offset CMYK using the print file. Then, we'll create another plate specifically for the UV feature and apply it on top of the printed paper. If more features are added, additional files will be needed for each.
