Are your slipcases standard sizes or custom-made?
Custom made.
Can I order a slipcase sample before the full run?
Yes. It usually runs together with the book sample.
Are slipcases meant for display, bundling, or shipping protection?
Not for shipping protection. Most slipcases are mainly for presentation, bundling, and added perceived value rather than heavy-duty shipping protection. They can help keep a set together and make the product feel more premium, but they are not a substitute for proper shipping packaging. If the books are being mailed to end customers, you should still plan for protective outer packaging.
Do you need my printed books to make a slipcase that fits correctly?
No. Like the dust jacket, we do not produce the slipcase by itself. Since the book is also produced by us, we can make sure the slipcase fits the book properly.
Can one slipcase hold multiple books?
Yes.
Are hardcover slipcases worth the extra cost over cardstock slipcases?
It depends on what you want the slipcase to do. A hardcover slipcase feels more premium and is better suited for a special edition or collector’s edition. A cardstock slipcase is more practical for holding multiple titles together and works well when the goal is to bundle the books as a set.
Can slipcases ship flat?
For the cardstock slipcase, yes, it can ship flat. For the hardcover slipcase, no, because it is rigid. If you are ordering a cardstock slipcase and want to insert the books yourself, let us know and we can ship them flat.
