Slipcase FAQs

Are your slipcases a standard size or custom-made to fit my books?
Our slipcases are custom-made to fit your books. We don’t offer standard sizes because each project has its own unique size and number of books.

Can I request a sample slipcase to review before placing a full order?
Yes, we can create a full-size sample for your slipcase order. Depending on the size, the cost ranges from $150 to $250, and it typically takes 2-3 weeks for delivery. Please note that the sample will be printed with a digital printer, so the colors may not be as accurate as the final product. The sample will also be cut and assembled by hand. In contrast, the actual production run will use offset printing, and the slipcase will be folded and glued by machine. However, the sample will still give you a good sense of the materials and how the final product will come together.

How sturdy is the slipcase, and can it protect the books during shipping?
The slipcase is made with double-walled 350gsm (14pt) cardboard, which is comparable to two high-quality postcards glued together. While it provides some protection and is primarily designed to group the books as a set, it is still somewhat of a soft case. We wouldn't recommend using it as a protective case for shipping. For shipping, we suggest using a bubble wrap or similar protective packaging, just as you would for shipping books.

I would like to place a slipcase order. How do I get started?
We will need the dimensions of your books to get started. The best approach is to mail your books to our office, so we can custom-create a slipcase template based on the exact measurements. You can then use the template to design your artwork. After that, we'll handcraft a demo slipcase for your review. Once you approve the sample, we can begin full production.
